Why does the curtain wall start to leak after a few years?
Many curtain wall projects are fine when they are just completed, but they start to leak after a few years. In fact, 80% of the leaks start from the screw holes! Ordinary stainless steel screws are prone to rust in humid, seaside or heavily polluted environments. After rusting, the volume expands, causing the sealant to crack, and rainwater will seep in through the screws.
